NEW COURSE
Raising Healthy Happy Eaters:
Gardening to Gathering
This course invites caregivers to build a real, hands-on relationship with food by growing some of it themselves – no yard required. Whether you've got a big backyard or just a sunny windowsill, you'll learn how to start small with resilient, forgiving plants like mint and other herbs, work with container gardening and vertical space for balconies and patios, and grow simple family favourites like cucumbers, tomatoes, and companion herbs together.
Along the way, caregivers pick up practical know-how on watering, soil, and troubleshooting, plus ideas for turning the process into something the whole family looks forward to – garden journals, harvest logs, and kitchen traditions like a "pizza garden" that carries the connection from the soil right through to the table.
