Chocolate Hazelnut Banana “Ice Cream”
This delicious dessert involves a two-step process that includes learning how to make your own hazelnut paste.
INGREDIENTS
- 4 frozen bananas
- 6 tbsp hazelnut paste (see Hazelnut Paste recipe)
INSTRUCTIONS
- Combine the frozen bananas and hazelnut paste in a blender or food processor. Blend until smooth and creamy.
- Spoon the mixture into parfait dishes or serve as is for a rich, creamy dessert. For a fun twist, pour the mixture into popsicle molds and freeze for a delicious frozen treat.
- Garnish with chopped nuts or drizzle with a little extra hazelnut paste for added flavour and texture.
TIPS & VARIATIONS
- Stir in chopped nuts, chocolate chips, or shredded coconut after blending for extra texture.
- Try other nut butters: Substitute hazelnut paste with almond butter, peanut butter, or cashew butter for different flavours.
- Garnish with a drizzle of honey or maple syrup and a sprinkle of chopped hazelnuts for added richness.
